“My love affair with stained glass originated in my childhood, when I first became fascinated by the beautiful reflections it created.

Upon moving to Cumbria, to a small village near Grange-Over-Sands, I was presented with the ideal environment in which I could pursue my passion. My light airy kitchen, set against the magnificent, ever-changing Cumbrian landscape is a constant source of inspiration, and the ideal setting for creating my work.

With the aid of the Rural Women’s Network, I set up my business in October 2005 and began creating fused glass pieces and developing the skills required to produce art in this beautiful medium.

I currently create a variety of pieces, ranging from jewellery, to bowls, through to window hangings. I also use a mixture of fusing and leading techniques to create framed stained glass panels.

To this day, I continue to love that moment of opening the kiln to discover the ‘magic’ that has occurred during the firing process.
